August 21, 2013 – A key improvement to the onTrack software is now available that allows franchise owners, CSRs, and technicians to access their onTrack account using any browser they prefer.
“This is a major milestone,” said Edward Quinlan at HRI. “Franchisees asked for the convenience of cross browser to allow them to function in Apple’s Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.”

Programmers worked for more than a month to rewrite code and check the updates.

Previous software clientele weren’t as concerned with the operating system or browser as much as they are today. A group of Chem-Dry and N-Hance franchisees were added as User Application Testers to get into the software in a special ‘test environment’ to ensure validation. “We really asked franchisees to ‘break it’ if they could – andshare with us any issues or concerns for us to fix before launching to the HRI networks,” Ed added.

“This is one of many pieces we’ve actively been working on with the Franchise Software Steering Committee,” Ed added. The committee is made up of VOC and non-VOC franchise owners who use the software daily to run their business. “Their input has been essential in helping us prioritize what features are most important to franchise owners.”

The new upgrade includes a broad set of enhancements that had recently been developed. Enhanced reports, powerful dashboards, and improved speed and security are all part of this new upgrade. And users are taking notice.

onTrack 4.12 Release


Many have asked what the new features are between ServiceMonster version 4.11 and  onTrack version 4.12

So, here is the list:

  • New Dashboard (shows an Activity list of items that are most important)
  • Promotions (Packages tied to a Marketing Lead Source)
  • Tax Rates updated automatically
  • SubGroups for Marketing Groups
  • SubGroups for Products & Services items (mostly for better roll up reporting)
  • SubGroups for Account Types
  • Discount per line item on a Work Order (just click the box with 3 dots […] to open up the Details to apply a Discount)

Items to come in the near future are:

  • Several Templates to choose from, like the 3 Tiered forms
  • Price List of all the Products and Services (so they are consistent) more on this later
  • Packages pre loaded with current promotions etc.
  • Credit Card Processing
